Hyderabad to turn chilly from Oct 25; rains likely in Telangana
However, the cold spell will last only three nights.

Balaji said dry northerly winds will bring “decent chill” to the city on the nights of Sunday, October 25, Monday, October 26, and Tuesday, October 27. Central Telangana could be colder, with minimum temperatures falling to 14 degrees Celsius, he said.
The cold spell will not last. Balaji said a severe cyclone, which he named Arnab, will form in the Bay of Bengal on Monday, October 26, and cross the central Andhra Pradesh coast on Wednesday, October 28.
The worst of the rain and wind will hit eastern Telangana. Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Mulugu and Mahabubabad are likely to get heavy to very heavy rain from the afternoon of Wednesday, October 28, to the afternoon of Thursday, October 29, according to Balaji.
What IMD Hyderabad says
India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad has forecast dry weather across the state until October 27, with no special alerts for the period. Hyderabad is likely to see cloudy skies once the cyclone approaches, with eastern Telangana districts bearing the greatest impact.
IMD’s national bulletin of Friday, October 23, said the system in the Bay of Bengal is likely to become a deep depression on Sunday, October 25, and a cyclonic storm over the west-central Bay of Bengal by the morning of Monday, October 26. It has not yet called the system a severe cyclonic storm.
For Telangana, IMD has forecast isolated to scattered rain from Tuesday, October 27, to Thursday, October 29, with heavy rain at isolated places on Wednesday, October 28. Gusty winds of 30 to 40 kmph, reaching 50 kmph at times, are likely over the state during the same period.
Over the sea, IMD expects gale-force winds of 70 to 80 kmph, gusting up to 90 kmph, over the west-central Bay of Bengal from October 26. It has advised fishermen to stay away from the region between October 26 and 28.
